Hofler Sweet 16 | Towson, Maryland {Baltimore Photographer}

I knew after just a few minutes on the phone during the inquiry that this was a session I wanted to be a part of. Crystal called me and explained that she wanted to do a photoshoot of her three girls that are “almost triplets” as a way to honor her mom. You see every year since the girls were little Crystal’s mom, the girl’s grandmother would take them to get photos during the time of the year they were all the same age. Crystal described the photos always had the actual number of their age in the photos somewhere. Ever since her passing, Crystal hasn’t been able to do it…

Until this year, the girls are 16 and she wanted to honor her mom with a photoshoot. We started brainstorming different ideas of how to include the number and decided on a banner. Crystal ordered a banner but it wasn’t delivered in time for the shoot so she had the girls create one…another special touch that made this so incredibly special.

We met on a day that was grey and overcast but the sun peeked out just as we started shooting and made for a beautiful session with these girls. Hannah, Madison and McKenna Happy Sweet 16! I am so thankful to have been a part of your special celebration!

I loved meeting this family! Jake contacted me after seeing the JMP ad in the latest issue of Towson Lifestyle . He and his wife Stefanie wanted to capture some fall photos of their family. They moved back to Baltimore from San Diego a little over a year ago to be closer to family.

We met on the Hampton Mansion Grounds in Towson, Maryland on a windy, cold day. It may have been cold but the fall colors were absolutely stunning as the sun set during our session. The girls were troopers. We took breaks to warm up in blankets/jackets before shooting some more. Enjoy a sneak peek into our lifestyle family session.

Youngblood Family | Wisteria Cottage and Barn

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to shoot some images of Wisteria Cottage and Barn for their website. I immediately fell in love with the property in Carroll County Maryland. The owners, Eric and Simone Heiland have spent so much time creating an incredible venue for your special day. I knew it would be perfect for a fall family session.

I have been working with the Youngblood family for years now and know they like unique locations…this was perfect for them. We met on a cold, windy morning taking multiple breaks to warm up but we are so thrilled with the end result. Enjoy scrolling through images from our time together.

The Berman’s love big and this was evident from the very beginning of our session. We explored the Hampton National Historic Site on a beautiful fall evening just as the sun was setting. I knew we were going to have fun when Jen and her daughter were laughing in the grass just a few seconds into our time together. Enjoy these photos from our adventure.

If you’ve been following along for a few years you have seen these boys grow up before your eyes! We have so much fun during our session together. Helen always comes with ideas of what she wants to capture that will tell their family story well and this year was no exception. She showed up to the session with a pink tug of war rope!

She is a fellow small business owner. Her business T & K specializes in women’s clothing and believe me when I say Helen lives her business motto “It’s your life, dress it up!”

Enjoy this glimpse into their session in Fells Point on a gray Sunday morning…this crew didn’t let the gray skies keep them from having fun!

I have been capturing this family for years now. I love that Jen is always looking for fun, new locations. Over the years we have met at local parks and last year we enjoyed a location by the water of Loch Raven Reservoir. This year we discussed meeting in Fells Point to allow the city to create a beautiful backdrop for their holiday images. We met one Saturday evening by the water in Baltimore, it had been cloudy all day but the sun broke through as we adventured around the city.

2 Year Old Milestone Session | Towson, Maryland {Baltimore Milestone Photographer}
reter_2018-7512.jpg

This sweet boy has been a joy to capture over the years.  Owen's mom, Sarah has made it a priority to capture a milestone portrait session each year around his birthday.  We shot his newborn session at their home and then followed up with his 1 year session and cake smash at the beautiful Hampton Mansion Historical Site.  This year we met again at the Hampton Mansion and I have to say it was my favorite session of them all.  I left the session with confirmation that my favorite way to capture children is to allow them to play and interact with the ones they love.  Owen was hesitant and shy when they first arrived but it didn't take long to begin to see his personality shine.  It may have taken some tricks from my "mom of boys arsenal" but it was worth it!

If you're interested in shooting a Milestone Session this fall contact me soon as my calendar is filling up quickly.  I'd love to help you capture images that will help you remember these childhood days that pass by so quickly.

Gehman Family | Hunt Valley, Maryland {Baltimore Family Photographer}...

We have walked through life with the Gehman family for the past 5 or so years.  Rob has coached our oldest in outdoor and indoor soccer.  He is the kind of coach you want in your kids life.  Over the years he has made an impact on his players...teaching them far more than the game of soccer. Our oldest boys have become close friends and we couldn't be more thankful.  Erin is one of those moms that exudes grace and beauty.  She laughs at me when I tell her it seems like she's got it all together because we both know the task before us isn't easy but she handles it with such ease and joy.

But the thing that stands out to me the most about this family is the love Rob and Erin have for one another.  They continue to nurture their relationship all the while raising a busy family of 5.  Rob and Erin thank you...for your friendship and the opportunity to capture your beautiful family!

Youngblood Family Session | Baltimore, Maryland {Baltimore Family Photographer}
sneak peek-2340.jpg

I look forward to capturing this family each year.  I'll never forget the first time I met Jennifer at the pool with her two young girls.  We were both in the baby pool with our kids and she mentioned that she would often see me come into the pool with our four boys and thought I had it all together.  I laughed and reassured her that was not the case!  We have gotten to know one another better over the years as our older kids have been in school together.

I love that the Youngblood's value these family images and put a lot of preparation into our session.  Jen and I sat poolside over the summer and brainstormed locations, outfits and ways to make the session fun for the girls.  Jason even stopped me one day in the gym to discuss locations.  We have been working together for the past few years so they know what to expect and trust that I will capture timeless images of their family.

LaGreca Family Session | Towson, Maryland {Baltimore Family Photographer}
fall_family_session_in_baltimore_maryland

The LaGreca family is so special to me for so many reasons.  They have been a part of our small group for over 10 years so we have experienced a lot of life together.  We have rejoiced, mourned, encouraged and spurred one another on over the years.  They also were the first family I captured with my camera (other than my own).  Jen believed in me way back when this business was a dream that I had yet to fully form in my mind.  Back when I knew little about the golden hour, prime lenses and f stops.  I love photographing them each year not only because I hope to capture lasting memories for them but it is also a visual reminder to me of how far I have come as a photographer.  These past few years I have worked hard to hone this craft and build my business into something that will best represent my "why" for taking pictures.  I want to help women capture those glimpses of what motherhood and marriage feel like...because if we're honest it isn't always pretty but deep down we know we love our husband and kids with a  passion beyond description and we all long to see glimpses of that in our photos.

LaGreca's thank you so much for believing in me, and encouraging me.  I will be forever grateful!
