I have worked with Sarah over the years, capturing Owen’s newborn and 1 year milestone sessions. Now her youngest is 1 so we met to capture Brody and his adventures with his big brother. We met one morning and explored the grounds of the Hampton Mansion National Historic Site together.

Danielle contacted me after seeing a friend’s family portraits. It had been a while since they had a family session and she wanted to capture the family before the oldest, Ainsely went away to college. We met at Cromwell Valley Park in Towson, MD on a fall evening for their session. This is a place that was important to them as a family so it was fun to explore the park with them.

It has been a blessing to get to know the Hess family over the past year or so. Their heart for one another really shines through and it was so much fun to try to capture this in these photographs. Josie did a phenomenal job styling the family and the Cylburn Arboreturm provided the perfect fall backdrop for their session. I find that just like most boys…these two were reluctant to believe that this would be a fun family outing. I’m happy to report that they both had a blast and the oldest even told me that he really liked the photos once they had a chance to review the gallery.
